Next Global Milonga: Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012

How do I join?
We'd love your participation in 2012! Please read over the technical requirements below and if you have questions about your particular situation, venue, or generally what's involved, write to .

How does the technology part work?
The most important thing you need is a wired ethernet internet connection (not wireless but an actual direct cable). If your venue has that, then you'll just need to secure separate laptop computers for audio streaming, audio broadcasting (selected DJs only), video streaming (optional), and video broadcasting (optional). If you're streaming or broadcasting video, you'll need a video camera and a projector as well.

Download our Technical Requirements Document (pdf) for complete details and contact our Technical Director in Montreal if you have any questions.

How does the donation part work?
All cities must submit either 75% of total sales or 100% of profit from the event directly to Trees for the Future within a week. We will send you instructions on making the donation immediately after the event. We also ask that you send us two numbers: 1. total attendance, 2. total donation. This is crucial for us to evaluate, plan, and seek support for the following year.

I can't attend - can I plant trees anyway?
Yes! If you cannot dance with us, but would like to plant trees in the name of tango, you can make a donation electronically through Trees for the Future. In the comments box, please type in "Global Milonga" so that your trees will be counted as part of the Global Milonga project.
